This temple is famous for holding the largest wooden Buddha statue in the world, but unfortunately photographing this impressive (albeit recent) statue is not permitted.

However, just about 20 kilometres from the city centre, there is a totally different place: Xochimilco was the agricultural centre of TenochtitlŠn, the great city of the Aztecs.
