    Hi Loved your Aus. photos especially this one. They have some very funny ones i thought when I was there last year. I especially loved the one you see a lot on the outback roads in QLD - it said “Passenger - Is your driver awake ?” … t used to make me think — oh hang on i’l just check ! Often when I was the driver !

    Going back Aug 2008 … can’t wait !

Madeira: Foggy Woods

"Madeira" means "wood" in Portuguese - and even today large parts of the island are covered by woods. Nowadays, most of the woods are mainly Eucalyptus (gum) trees, whereas the native laurel trees are only restricted to small part of the inner island. In any case, it's nice to walk here, although the whether may change any minute and fog may close in on you very rapidly. Edited: Please note, there now is a special gallery with 50 photos from Madeira ...
