A big black cross formed somewhat like a gallows
A wooden cross with a diagonal bar like a gallows marks the site where the gallows of Ellwangen stood.
Here, also many “witches” were burned in witch trials in the 16th and 17th century.
The monument commemorating these sinister events was inspired by Sieger Köder.
