Bush Fire in Australia
The original owners of the land still know best how to protect it: many of the bush fires are actually started by aborigines to prevent much worse natural fires from spreading.
Also, many of the plants have adapted so well that they actually need such a fire from time to time…

Scanner Software - update may solve problems

When my slide scanner (Minolta Dimage II) started generating strange error messages and very often completely refused to cooperate, I was tempted to just replace it. Then, I thought better of it and looked for a software update. Couldn't find anything on http://konicaminolta.com/ Even searching the site did not bring me to a download section.
